Amazing and friendly staff who didnt hover or rush over yet still cleared thentable in a timely manor. We didnt book a table but they sorted us one. The staff were amazing , portion sizes was spot on it,it was full of taste and honelsty price. In my opinion my chips cou;d have done with 2 more minutes but wow wow wow After a busy day of looking round the castle , wallace monument and Battle of Bannockbutn, it qas great to find this place and give it a go..Try it , google it whatever you need to do, you will NOT be dissapponted ( unlike the resteraunt attatched to pur hotel)

Staff are all lovely and most of the other customers are fantastic and full of banter. Very friendly and welcoming. Food is great, they have loads of veggie options and will tweak meals to suit.
On rute to Penicuik where we had the hotel we stoped based on the reviews and honestly the restaurant didn’t disappoint. The food, the service and the prices were very good. Highly recomand this place.
Food was lovely, fresh and very reasonably priced. Will definitely recommend it and we will be back
My fellow gansta-grannies and I go here for coffee and bacon rolls every wednesday and the group have a lunch here monthly. Extensive menu, speedy service, good prices, super staff.
